The Opportunity


The Director of Corporate Sales is a new role at Soundstripe and an opportunity to step into a leadership position managing our growing corporate sales team, which works to sell Soundstripe’s robust products and services to brands, startups and enterprises across the globe.


Responsibilities

As our first Director of Corporate Sales, you will join an existing team of two experienced sales executives to build out our sales strategy and process, with the goal to grow revenue by accelerating lead generation, increasing closed/won ratios, driving ACVs to new highs and delighting customers.


To achieve this, you will need to:

  • Act as both a player and coach, mentoring and guiding our sales team while contributing personally to annual revenue targets through your own sales efforts
  • Develop a thorough go-to-market playbook for our growing team of account executives, defining each step of our sales funnel and the actions required to move prospects from initial inquiry to satisfied customer
  • Direct sales automation efforts in our CRM (Hubspot) to improve efficiency and provide frictionless pipeline management and on-demand reporting for our sales team and executives
  • Lead research efforts to better understand the needs and pain points of our target and existing customers, and work collaboratively with stakeholders (e.g., Product team, Music team) to develop new products and services that will serve them better
  • Build an intimate understand of our customers and define their characteristics in Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and Persona documentation to educate and guide both sales execs and internal stakeholders, such as Marketing
  • Build out compelling and effective sales collateral and pitch materials in partnership with our Marketing team
  • Partner with our Marketing team to develop winning go-to-market and lead generation strategies
  • Refine and advance our outbound sales tactics, including how we best identify, approach and nurture target accounts
  • Build an understanding of music sync licensing market and music copyright concepts, as shaped by copyright law and influenced by current market dynamics


Qualifications

Our ideal Director of Corporate Sales will embrace an overall collaborative sales approach, support our Core Values and bring the following to the table:

  • 6+ years experience in SaaS sales, with at least 2 years experience managing sales reps
  • Demonstrated success meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Genuine curiosity, strong listening skills and an entrepreneurial mindset, with a readiness to tackle undefined problems and passion for crafting solutions
  • Strong background in sales automation tactics and workflows
  • Experience building and/or evolving go-to-market motions and documentation (i.e., playbook), including defining target customers and mapping effective strategies for messaging and supporting collateral
  • Proven experience managing pipelines, forecasting sales (including defining funnel conversion rates), and communicating plans and status clearly
